Prior to setting up DLC Funds, Jamie was the President of Family Mortgage Corporation in the Nineties. Family Mortgage was one of the first mortgage brokerage companies to have its agents on the road with laptops and to communicate with its lenders through the Internet. The Company was sold to Norlite Financial which later became Mortgage Intelligence.

Jamie is also the Broker of Record for RE/MAX Condos Plus which is the premier residential real estate broker in the downtown Toronto market. He noted a lack of independent mortgage specialists in the downtown market place and the need for mortgage advice by his own real estate agents for their clients. Both opportunities created a ready market for DLC Funds. Today DLC Funds has 8 experienced mortgage agents with opportunities for future growth. These agents can be contacted through any of the five retail locations available downtown for the public to visit.
